Memories and Milestones

Reflecting on 2023, the year was a tapestry woven with family milestones and exciting adventures. Our grandkids, Sophie and Payson, embarked on new chapters – Sophie bidding farewell to her reign as Little Miss Hammond, and Payson stepping into the world of 4K. Sleepovers remained a cherished tradition, brimming with hugs and joy.

Welcoming Chrissy and Chad’s adorable little boy into our family brought boundless love and warmth. The whole family adores him, adding a beautiful chapter to our collective story.

The year unfolded as a journey of exploration and connection. In March, Cody and I visited Mom in Arizona, relishing moments with her, the neighborhood, and some invigorating hikes. May saw a long-planned trip to California with my friend Melinda, starting in San Francisco and venturing through Napa. Come September, Steve joined me on the Destination Color incentive trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, creating sun-soaked memories.

Amidst these adventures, we decided to elevate our camping experiences, embracing the comfort of a pop-up camper. No more sleeping on the ground in tents – a welcome change as we navigate the joys of getting older.

In the realm of Color Street, this year’s annual conference took a virtual twist as we hosted a team retreat viewing party at home. A team accountability challenge with Biz Bestie Krista over 400 days strengthened our connection, rooted in growth and shared success.

October brought a significant business milestone – ranking top 24 in the US for sales. This achievement, coupled with the generous support from the Glimmer and Grace community during the Honor Katie Fundraiser, opened doors to a visit to the Color Street home office in New Jersey. A dream come true, complete with a tour of our manufacturing facilities.  This business bucket list trip will be in January, during my birthday week.  What a fun celebration that will be!

Beyond the highlights, every day brought blessings, friendship, laughter around tables and campfires, and the simple joy of family moments. Of course, this year also had some significant challenges, but these were met with gratitude for the unwavering support of our loved ones. Seeking counseling for past traumas empowered me to navigate the complexities of the year.
