Feeling Stuck in the Struggle?

Before You Throw in the Towel, Read This

We’ve all been there—those days when the weight of life feels too heavy to carry, and you’re tempted to just give up. I’ve felt it too, more than once. But here’s the truth I’ve come to know: One bad day doesn’t cancel out your purpose. In fact, it’s part of the process.

When I joined Color Street in June 2018, I was shy and introverted, working full-time at a local police department and juggling the demands of everyday life. I never imagined that something as simple as nail polish strips could transform my confidence. Yet, here I am, four incentive trips later, with more self-assurance than I thought possible, encouraging other women to embrace their own beauty and strength.
But let me be real with you—it wasn’t always easy. There were many tough days, especially in the beginning, when I questioned whether I was cut out for this. As someone who has dealt with chronic migraines for over 30 years, there were days when I struggled just to function. But looking back, I realize those challenging moments were shaping me. They were guiding me toward my purpose. So before you let a rough day make you quit, here are four reasons to stand firm in faith and keep pushing forward:
Persistence is Key
Success isn’t a straight line. It never has been, and it never will be. Every twist and turn, every setback—it’s all part of your unique journey. When I first started with Color Street, I was balancing my business with a full-time job, family responsibilities, and the constant challenge of managing my migraines. There were days when I wondered if it was all worth it, but each time I pushed through, I discovered more about myself. Stay persistent, because each step, no matter how hard, is leading you to something greater.
Learn from Adversity
The most valuable lessons are often found in the toughest moments. There were vendor events where I barely made any sales, in-home socials that didn’t go as planned, and days when I just didn’t feel like showing up. But those experiences didn’t break me; they shaped me. Embracing the hard times has taught me resilience and adaptability. When you trust that adversity is teaching you something, it stops being a roadblock and becomes a stepping stone.
Shift Your Perspective
A bad day is just that—a day. It doesn’t define your entire journey, and it certainly doesn’t determine your future. I’ve had my fair share of days when nothing seemed to go right, but each new day offered a fresh start. Shifting my mindset to see challenges as temporary bumps in the road rather than dead ends has changed everything for me. There’s power in trusting that tomorrow brings new opportunities.
Harness Inner Strength
Your strength isn’t just found in your actions, but in your belief in yourself. For me, this journey has been one of discovering the strength that was always there, but often buried under doubt and fear. Leaning into faith, believing that I’m being guided for a reason, has given me the resilience to keep going—even when the road feels uncertain. Trust in your inner strength and remember that you have what it takes to overcome any obstacle.
As I reflect on my own journey with Color Street, I realize that my story has never been about perfection. It’s been about faith—faith in myself, faith in my purpose, and faith that every challenge is leading me toward something greater. Whether it was hitting my highest-ever PV despite battling chronic migraines, or earning trips to places like Riviera Maya and Montego Bay, none of it would have been possible if I had given up when things got tough.
Your journey is guided by faith, not perfection. So on those difficult days, remember that you’re exactly where you need to be. You are stronger than the struggle. Stay persistent, learn from adversity, shift your perspective, and tap into the strength that’s already inside you. Keep the faith, because you are meant for more.
Are you ready to take the next step in your journey? Let’s walk this path together.
