Holiday Blahs

I’m not going to sugarcoat it—this week has been tough. Between illnesses in our family and the holiday season blues creeping in, I found myself asking some hard questions. Why am I on this journey? Why now? I’m not where I thought I’d be at this point in my life or my business. And honestly, it made me wonder—should I quit?

It’s a question I think many of us face, whether we’re working toward a fitness goal, building a business, or chasing a dream. What if I quit? What if I just stopped? Would it even matter?

This week, I gave myself the time and space to reflect on that. And here’s what I realized:

My current big goal is to fund a special trip for my mom’s 90th birthday. She’s always dreamed of seeing the Alamo and exploring the Texas Hill Country, and I want to be there with her—and with Steve—to make those memories. But beyond that, I remembered something even more important.

I went back to a letter I wrote to myself last January at Unite to Ignite, and I saw a common theme: I’ve been overcomplicating things. I need to return to what I love—helping people feel good about themselves.

For some, that’s through the beauty of magical nail polish or the confidence that comes with clean, safe cosmetics. For others, it’s encouraging them on their wellness journey. Whatever form it takes, that’s the heart of what I do.

So if you’ve been questioning your own journey—if doubt has crept in—take a moment to reflect. Think about how far you’ve already come.

  • Grab a journal and write down your thoughts.
  • Pray over the blessings God has given you through this journey.
  • Ask for His guidance as you dream about what’s next.

Where do you want to be? How can your journey get you there?
