My Destination Color: Los Cabos Adventure

Have you ever had one of those moments where you stop and think, “I can’t believe this is my life”? That’s exactly how I felt on my recent Destination Color trip to San Jose del Cabo. From the stunning sunsets to the laughter with dear friends, it was the perfect reward for the work I’ve put into my Color Street business. Here’s a peek at what the trip looked like:

Day 1: Travel and a Warm Welcome

The journey started early, but a stop at Caribou for a Strawberry Fruit Shaker at the Atlanta airport helped fuel me. When we landed in Cabo, we were greeted with margaritas, a swag bag, and headed straight to the pool after grabbing a bite at the buffet. I was thrilled to see so many familiar faces—there’s nothing like reuniting with your Color Street family! The welcome reception that evening, with a local band playing, was such a great start to what was shaping up to be an unforgettable trip.

It’s incredible to think this all began because I fell in love with nail polish strips. Moments like these remind me of the blessings that come from working hard and staying consistent in this business.

Day 2: Business, Recognition, and Poolside Fun

The day kicked off with a business meeting, packed with training, recognition, and exciting sneak peeks. Imagine my surprise seeing my name on the big screen! It was wonderful connecting with so many fellow stylists and my Unite sisters, sharing ideas and celebrating our success together.

Afterward, I spent the day poolside, enjoying the sunshine, and capped it all off with a sunset beach view and a delicious Italian dinner with friends. The warmth of the people here and the inspiration that flowed through our conversations made me feel so blessed.

Day 3: Fun, Friends, and the Best Mole Ever

This day was all about relaxing by the pool and catching up with long-time Color Street friends, while making new connections. I even hopped into the noon aqua aerobics class, which was a blast and a surprisingly good workout in the heat! The evening was topped off with a dinner at the resort’s Mexican restaurant, where I had the best mole of my life.

Once again, I was reminded of how grateful I am to have said “yes” to this business six years ago.

Day 4: Sea Turtles and Photo Fun

This day brought an unexpected but magical experience. During a morning walk on the beach, I witnessed sea turtles laying their eggs—such a humbling and beautiful moment shared with an amazing circle of women. Later in the day, I had a fun photo session with friends. It was one of those moments where you realize how important it is to surround yourself with people who make you laugh and push you to embrace life’s fun and crazy moments.

We wrapped up the night with a pool party and an evening dance party, filled with laughter and great memories.

Day 5: Farewell Cabo

Before heading home, I took one last walk on the beach and spotted another sea turtle nesting—what a special way to end the trip. After breakfast, it was time to pack up, check out, and begin the long journey home. Thankfully, I was surrounded by a group of stylists, which made navigating the Cabo airport and our layover at LAX much more enjoyable. Even with a late night and an early morning return, the camaraderie made the long travel day feel like an extension of the adventure.

This trip was such a blessing—filled with joy, connections, and the opportunity to reflect on what this business has given me. And the best part? This is an opportunity that’s available to anyone who’s willing to put in the work. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a Color Street stylist, I can tell you this: it’s about more than just nail polish strips. It’s about building a community, growing personally and professionally, and creating the kind of flexibility that allows you to enjoy life’s precious moments.
