This was how I spent my weekend, plugged into the Kristen Boss Rising Leader Summit.  Since she announced this training at her State of the Union address, I’ve had the Calling to attend it. However, work commitments prohibited me from traveling to Denver, but I was thankful for the virtual option. This training is not they type of systems and “how to” training I thought it would be. Rather it delved into the true heart and soul of leadership, and coaching in a trauma-informed way.

Attendees were also challenge to reflect inward on what stories we need to rise from and look towards what we are rising to.  I can’t even begin to tell you what a new way of thinking this is in our business. I know I walk away from this, knowing that I need to look internally and sit with, and listen to the inner voice that I keep shushing. I need to give her a voice so she can be heard and healed. I am thankful to have another day at home for some self-reflection.  I’m also thankful for the promise that where I am broken, there is healing. We ended the summit by writing a letter to our current self from our future self.  Yes, I cried as I wrote to myself as if my current goals were achieved and the amount of blessing that is going out from this business has expanded beyond what I previously wouldn’t even dare to dream.  Then she capped it off by telling us, we can be that person now.  I can be that person now.  You can be that person now.
